   □ Korean Scandinavian Scientists & Engineers Association (KSSEA) Regional Meeting

Korean Scandinavian Scientists & Engineers Association (KSSEA) held Stockholm/Uppsala regional meeting on April 7th at NRF Stockholm office. In total, nine members of KSSEA regional chapter (Stockholm & Uppsala) participated in this event.

All participants introduced themselves shortly about who they are and what they do, especially five of them performed more in-depth presentations about their current project work and future interests. Dr. Dong Yoo Kim from KTH (Material Science) presented his work in Metallurgy, and Prof. Ki Won Sung at KTH (ICT: Kista) explained about the concept of 5G communication, which is also his main research area. Dr. Jaewoo Lee from KTH (Material Science) had presentation about his research of ‘Silicon Wafers’, and Dr. Keunjae Kim working at SSPA (Gothenburg) introduced his work within Marine Engineering. The new member, Dr. Kang Ho Joo, which is also appointed as Stockholm/Uppsala chapter leader as of this meeting, explained shortly about his research on Meridian System of human body. Finally, the director of NRF Sweden office introduced about various research cooperation programmes available at the moment for all researchers.

There was also a brief announcement by the president Dr. Kim about the upcoming event, the annual meeting of KSSEA, which will be held in Oslo in the end of May, that all members of chapter are welcome to the event and there will be financial aid for travel cost for those who want to participate.
